Azure Local Reference Architecture

Valuecom Selected to Deliver Azure Local Reference Architecture

Azure Local Infrastructure Reference Architecture Project

Valuecom has been selected by a global client to deliver a strategic project focused on developing a reference architecture and deployment framework for Azure Local infrastructure.

The project will define the architectural standards and implementation documentation required to support Azure Local infrastructure deployments across globally distributed customer sites, including Azure Local node architectures, AD-less Azure Local deployments, and disconnected infrastructure environments.

The work will enable the client to deploy Azure Local infrastructure consistently and securely across a wide range of operational environments, including locations with limited connectivity, strict infrastructure controls, or no Active Directory integration.

Standardising Azure Local Infrastructure

Establishing a Global Azure Local Infrastructure Architecture

Azure Local infrastructure is increasingly being adopted by organisations looking to extend cloud capabilities into edge environments, operational technology networks, and infrastructure located outside traditional enterprise datacentres.

As part of this project, Valuecom is designing a standardised Azure Local infrastructure architecture model that enables deployments to be implemented reliably across global customer environments.

The architecture will cover several key deployment scenarios, including:

  • Azure Local infrastructure node architecture and configuration standards

  • Azure Local deployments without Active Directory (AD-less architectures)

  • Disconnected Azure Local infrastructure environments operating without persistent internet connectivity

  • Secure connectivity models for environments integrating with the Azure Local portal

  • Standardised deployment patterns for global infrastructure teams

By establishing a consistent architectural framework, the client will be able to deploy Azure Local infrastructure more rapidly while maintaining governance, security, and operational consistency across global deployments.

Enabling Azure Local in Complex Environments

Enabling Azure Local Infrastructure in Restricted and Disconnected Environments

A significant focus of the project is the development of architecture patterns that support environments operating outside traditional enterprise connectivity and identity models.

Many operational environments require infrastructure platforms that function without domain services or continuous connectivity to cloud platforms. Valuecom is designing architecture models that allow Azure Local infrastructure to operate securely in these environments while maintaining operational manageability.

The reference architecture will include guidance for:

  • Azure Local infrastructure node deployments across customer sites

  • AD-less Azure Local infrastructure architectures

  • Disconnected Azure Local infrastructure environments

  • Controlled connectivity to the Azure Local portal

  • Secure operational management models

  • Repeatable configuration standards for global deployments

These capabilities are increasingly important for organisations operating across industrial, logistics, transportation, and critical infrastructure environments, where connectivity and identity architectures may vary significantly between sites.

A Structured Delivery Model for Azure Local

Creating a Delivery Framework for Global Implementation

Alongside the architecture design, Valuecom is delivering a structured documentation and delivery framework that will enable global deployment teams to implement Azure Local infrastructure consistently across customer sites.

The project will deliver:

  • Azure Local infrastructure reference architecture documentation

  • Azure Local node deployment and configuration standards

  • AD-less deployment architectures

  • Disconnected Azure Local infrastructure deployment guidance

  • Operational and configuration documentation

  • Implementation frameworks for global delivery teams

This delivery model ensures that Azure Local infrastructure environments can be deployed using a repeatable and governed methodology, reducing deployment complexity while supporting consistent operational management.

Designing and Delivering Modern Infrastructure Platforms

How Valuecom Helps

Valuecom works with organisations to design and deliver secure, scalable hybrid infrastructure platforms that operate across both connected and restricted environments.

Our approach combines architecture design, governance, and delivery frameworks to ensure infrastructure platforms can be deployed consistently across multiple locations and operational models.

Typical areas of support include:

  • Hybrid cloud and Azure platform architecture

  • Azure Local infrastructure design and deployment models

  • Edge and distributed infrastructure architectures

  • Architecture governance and reference architecture development

  • Delivery frameworks for global infrastructure deployments

By combining architecture expertise with practical delivery guidance, Valuecom helps organisations translate complex platform capabilities into repeatable and operational infrastructure deployments.

Enabling the Next Generation of Hybrid Infrastructure

As organisations expand hybrid cloud capabilities into operational environments, the need for flexible infrastructure models capable of operating across both connected and disconnected environments continues to grow.

Through this project, Valuecom is supporting a global client in establishing the architectural foundations and deployment frameworks required to deliver Azure Local infrastructure at scale across customer sites worldwide.
